Yeah, we know you aren’t supposed to toot your own horn, but who cares – COYO Release 20 is simply amazing, fantastic, unbelievably great, and a million other ways of saying that it turned out really, really well. We’ve rarely released so many major changes, so we’re thrilled to introduce you to all the awesome new features. Spoiler alert: We’ve reached a new Office 365 milestone! 🎉Want to know what’s new? Continue reading and prepare to be blown away.

Synchronize events with Outlook

In addition to the ability to edit documents, this feature is our first major milestone when it comes to Office 365 integration – HOORAY!  And this is especially good news for all those who plan events or are lucky enough to regularly be on #VIP guest lists. From now on, events that you plan and prepare in COYO will automatically be synchronized with your Outlook calendar. Admins can even modify details like the location, time, or date afterwards, because these changes are also synchronized automatically and instantaneously to each participant’s Outlook calendar. Please note: These features will only work if you sign in to COYO with your Office 365 account. In addition, the Office 365 integration* needs to be activated by an admin and the user must grant access to the calendar – this will be requested separately after logging in to COYO. After that, you’re ready to party!

Hot, hotter, launchpad v20 🔥

No, you’re eyes aren’t playing tricks on you – in version 20 we gave the launchpad a major face-lift. In addition to an attractive appearance, inner values also play an important role – and when it comes to the new launchpad, they’re really quite impressive. For example, if you’re using the Office 365 integration*, you can now access your Office applications directly from the launchpad. ♀️ The launchpad also has some new tricks up its sleeve when it comes to working with links: whenever you insert a new link, a symbol and title will automatically be suggested to you (and here’s a tip: this also works with existing links).

There’s also a new global “Add Link” button that allows admins to add URLs to categories no matter where they’re located.
This is a handy feature for everyone looking to save even more time, as you used to have to scroll down to the appropriate category. Another thing that’s new is the ability to navigate using categories, which allows you to quickly and easily explore and access all available links. 👉 And you know what’s really nice? Link titles are now displayed in long form and with the corresponding URL. In contrast, you won’t see empty categories from now on. Oh and by the way – the new launchpad is now much more user-friendly on mobile devices. #amatterofimportance

Google Drive preview 🔭

You’re probably all familiar with our G Suite integration – at least we hope you are. But since you can never get enough of a good thing, we took this feature one step further: COYO v20 displays previews of Google Drive documents directly in COYO. This means that you no longer have to leave your COYO to see a file’s content (this is really nice with GIFs and images). If you want to edit a document, you’ll still need to open it in Google Drive, but now there’s a handy link for you to open the file and immediately begin making your changes. #yourewelcome

Wondering which files COYO supports? All of the ones that Google Drive offers, in fact, plus a few that we think are real VIPs, like documents, spreadsheets, presentations, photos, videos, and PDFs. When it comes to photos and videos, COYO now supports numerous different formats – plus virtually all of those that the Google Drive preview supports.

Chatting with coworkers goes international

Here at COYO, we really love chatting with our international coworkers – both about personal and professional topics.  And since we know that many of you feel the same way, we have now implemented one of the most requested features – you can now translate posts and comments on your timeline with just one click! 💬 The following languages are supported English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Polish, and Russian. Awesome? Freaking awesome!

In order to use this feature, you’ll need a DeepL Pro account. Setting up the translation feature is super easy – admins simply need to open the General Settings page in the admin section, activate the feature, and add their DeepL API key. Et voilà!

A lot of little things that make working with COYO easier

Besides all these major features, we also spent the past few months working on over 50 minor improvements and bug fixes 🐞 that you’ve all been requesting. Since we don’t want this post to turn into a book, here’s a quick look at some of our favorites:

      • You need an hour to work intensively on a super important project without being disturbed? We understand, and we’ve got your back. That’s why you can now simply mute chats and group chats whenever you need a break.
      • COYO now offers an extended detailed file preview for mobile devices, allowing you to preview PDF files without having to download them.
      • Fans of details can now zoom in and out of image previews on mobile devices. 🧐
      • We’ve updated the bookmark widget and you can now sort bookmarks via drag and drop.

Have fun with the latest COYO update – and while trying out all the new features!

*COYO’s Office 365 integration is currently in beta. Once beta testing is complete, the O365 integration will be available as a paid add-on if you want to continue using all of the features as usual. The integration currently includes Azure AD, Edit-in-Office, event synchronization, and the O365 apps on the launchpad.
